Kaleidoscope:
καλος (beauty) • είδος (that which is seen) • σκοπεο (to examine).
The word Kaleidoscope sums up my approach to counseling well. A kaleidoscope uses mirrors to reflect fragments of broken glass into something beautiful. Sometimes it is helpful to have another perspective on the seemingly fragmented pieces of our lives. What may feel like a broken part of our lives can also be an opportunity to grow. My role as a counselor is to come alongside you when you feel stuck or hopeless. It happens to all of us. The good news is you do not have to find solutions on your own.
About Me
My name is Katie Castor and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate (LPCA). I graduated from Columbia International University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, and I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Psychology. I have experience counseling children, teenagers, and adults who experience mood related problems, attachment and relational issues, difficult life transitions, and trauma. My training in Cognitive-Behavioral and Family Systems therapies helps me provide new and healthy ways of thinking and managing stress as well as tools for building strong relationships.
